Connect your Rave data to your business tools

We're glad to announce that we've made it easier for you to connect your Rave account to business tools you use daily such as Mailchimp, Intercom, Quickbooks, Slack and many more. We've made this possible via our early access integration with Zapier, an automation tool that allows you to connect Rave with over 1,500 apps.

Supercharge your customer support, reduce the time you spend sorting through excel files to reconcile your books, without writing a single line of code. With Zapier you can connect your data from Rave to these tools in under 5minutes.
PS: This is an early access invitation, it's a pre-release to help us understand how businesses want to use their data outside Rave and it would inform future updates we make to the integration.

Why should you be Excited

Zapier is an automation tool that increases your productivity. If you are a single founder, have a small team or in charge of automation in a large team, it helps you connect your data to tools that can make your business processes faster saving you time.

How to get started

Let's get started by creating a free zapier account.
We would go through the basics of Zapier, so you understand how to maximize Rave with Zapier.
Say you want to send a receipt to customers using Quickbooks when they pay successfully to your merchant account, In Zapier you would need to create these steps:
  • Create a "New Transaction Trigger” that tells you when a new customer has paid you on Rave.
  • Connect an“action” that sends a receipt to the new customer from Quickbooks.
Okay, "buzzwords"…. What are "triggers” and "actions” anyways? They exist in Zapier and form the building block for creating automation.
  • Triggers: A trigger is a notification that is created when something new e.g. A new transaction, happens on your app or business tool, it comes with data containing information about the new event that occurred.
  • Actions: An action is a new event that modifies, creates or deletes data in your app or business tool when a trigger happens. It uses data that was created from the initial step(a trigger) to modify, create or delete data, very much like"Creating Sales receipt” when a customer pays on Rave using the data from the transaction.
Now imagine any other repetitive task or that business tool you always wished you could connect to the data you have on customers and their transactions on your Rave account. Do you always have to download new customers daily from your dashboard and import them into your MailChimp account, The "New Transaction Trigger" automates this. How do you track how much you've collected from customers and how much you've paid out of your Rave account, combine the "New Transaction Trigger” and "New Transfer Trigger” to see how much you are really making in Quickbooks.
